WHAT IS PIGMENT WASH?

The MKI Pigment Wash Collections are identified by their vintage colour and faded appearance, accentuating the highs and lows across seams and neck lines for a textured look.

The Pigment washing process creates an abrasive, worn look, often with colour variations and fading, most notable in the finishings of the garment such as zips and cuffs.

All Pigment Wash items are treated through a 4-step process, post-dying and washing the finished item rather than the fibres to enhance the washed appearance of the pigment colour.

To achieve the ideal washed appearance, our Jersey items are created with a loopback interior rather than brushed cotton on the same custom 500GSM bases.
